A new experimental emulator called XeniOS has been developed that allows some Xbox 360 games to run on Apple devices. The emulator works on iOS and macOS, which means users may be able to play older Xbox 360 titles on devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. XeniOS is based on the well-known Xenia emulator that was originally designed for Windows computers. Developers modified the software so it can work within Apple’s ecosystem. The emulator uses Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation to translate Xbox 360 game code, allowing the games to run on Apple hardware.

However, the emulator cannot be released on Apple’s App Store. Although Apple has recently allowed some emulators on its platform, XeniOS requires JIT technology, which Apple normally restricts for security reasons. Because of this limitation, users must sideload the emulator instead of downloading it directly from the App Store. The project is still in its early alpha stage, so the software is not yet stable. Developers have warned that users may face crashes, bugs, and performance issues. In addition, not all Xbox 360 games are compatible with the emulator at this stage.
