Selected candidates will be responsible for adjudicating civil and criminal cases at the district level, performing judicial and administrative functions, and upholding the rule of law under the supervision of the High Court. This role involves managing court proceedings, conducting trials, recording evidence, and delivering judgments, with the authority to handle cases within specified pecuniary and territorial limits.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: A degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university
Professional Experience: At least 02 years of active legal practice as an advocate.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 22 and 35 years of age as of April 4, 2026.
Domicile: Must have a valid domicile of Punjab province
Reserved Quotas:
- 3% Quota: Reserved for differently-abled persons.
- 5% Quota: Reserved for Minority candidates.

Examination & Selection Process

The selection process is rigorous and consists of three main stages:

Written Examination: A comprehensive test covering Law and other subjects. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each paper and a 45% aggregate to qualify for the next stage
Psychological & Aptitude Test: Conducted for successful written exam candidates.
Interview/Viva Voce: A 300-mark assessment where a minimum of 150 marks (50%) is required to pass. Success in the interview is mandatory for final selection.
