The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi has opened admissions for MS and M.Phil programs for the 2026 session. The last date to apply is July 20, 2026. Admission is open to candidates with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in medical, biological, or allied health sciences from an HEC-recognized institution. A valid GAT (General) score with minimum 50% is required for M.Phil programs, along with passing the university’s admission test and interview.

Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements

• Candidates must have a relevant bachelor’s (16 years) or master’s degree in the relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university/institute 

• Minimum CGPA as per HEC guidelines for the respective program

• Valid GAT (General) result with minimum 50% cumulative score (valid for two years) is mandatory for M.Phil/Basic Sciences programs 

• Must pass the NUMS admission test and interview 

Additional Requirements

• Employees of Government/Semi-Government organizations must submit NOC from their employer 

• Foreign qualifications must be supported by an Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC/HEC and the concerned regulatory body 

• 5% seats are reserved for children of Overseas Pakistanis

• Go to the official NUMS website: www.numspak.edu.pk

• Access the Postgraduate Admissions section and click on the online application link 

Step 2: Register and Fill Application Form

• Create an account and complete the online application form

• Candidates may select up to two subjects in order of priority for M.Phil programs; shortlisting will be based on first priority selection
