The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi has opened admissions for MS and M.Phil programs for the 2026 session. The last date to apply is July 20, 2026. Admission is open to candidates with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in medical, biological, or allied health sciences from an HEC-recognized institution. A valid GAT (General) score with minimum 50% is required for M.Phil programs, along with passing the university’s admission test and interview.

Minimum CGPA as per HEC guidelines for the respective program

Valid GAT (General) result with minimum 50% cumulative score (valid for two years) is mandatory for M.Phil/Basic Sciences programsÂ

Must pass the NUMS admission test and interviewÂ

Foreign qualifications must be supported by an Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC/HEC and the concerned regulatory bodyÂ
