The General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi has announced re-employment opportunities for retired, released, or retiring Army Officers (Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels, and Majors) to serve as Civilian Gazetted Officers (CGOs) in various formations of the Pakistan Army. Selected officers will be placed in specialized roles including Military History, Record Officer (ROS), Psychologist, Database Officer, Network Officer, and Instructor positions across multiple stations including Rawalpindi, Attock, Risalpur, Abbottabad, and Shinkiari . These positions are offered on a contract basis initially for 3 years, extendable by an additional year based on performance and organizational requirements.
Eligibility Criteria

Rank:Â Retired/Released/Retiring Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels, and Majors

Age Limit:Â Colonels up to 54 years; Lieutenant Colonels and Majors up to 52 years and below

Recency:Â Officers must have retired within the last two years (excluding LPR – Leave Prior to Retirement)

Medical Category:Â Must not be in Medical Category “EEE”

Ineligibility:Â Officers discharged on account of inefficiency, misappropriation, or disciplinary cases involving moral turpitude are ineligible to apply

Service Liability:Â Selected officers may be required to serve at any station across Pakistan

Selection Process:Â Shortlisted candidates must appear before a Special Selection Board at GHQ, Rawalpindi at their own expense
