The Higher Education Commission (HEC) through its Education Testing Council (ETC) invites applications for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for admission to undergraduate programs in Pakistani universities. The registration portal is open from May 17 to June 7, 2026 (until 23:59 hours), with the test scheduled for Sunday, July 5, 2026. USAT is conducted in six categories: USAT-A (Arts & Humanities), USAT-COM (Commerce), USAT-CS (Computer Science), USAT-E (Pre-Engineering), USAT-GS (General Science), and USAT-M (Pre-Medical).
Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent examinations (12 years education)

Students who have appeared in the final HSSC or equivalent examinations and are awaiting their results

How to Apply

Visit the ETC website: https://etc.hec.gov.pk for online registration

Carefully select your test category (USAT-A, COM, CS, E, GS, or M)

Complete the registration data and SUBMIT the application (SAVED or INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered)

Pay the test fee through Link/1Bill invoice payment services using the generated consumer number (fee is non-refundable and non-transferable)

After depositing the fee, click on “Verify Online Payment” on the ETC Dashboard

Download your Roll Number Slip from https://etc.hec.gov.pk one week before the test date (also sent via registered email)

Bring the printed Roll Number Slip and original CNIC/Passport (or B-Form with SSC/HSC certificate for under-18 candidates) to the test center on July 5, 2026
