The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, has announced admissions for its M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in Molecular Medicine, Chemistry, and Pharmacology for the 2026 academic session. Admission will be granted purely on merit, and all applicants must qualify for the University of Karachi Entrance Test. The application process begins on June 29, 2026, while the last date to submit applications is July 8, 2026. Eligible candidates can collect their admit cards on July 23–24, 2026, and the entrance test will be conducted on July 26, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

For M.Phil Programs

PCMD (Molecular Medicine):

• M.Sc. or four-year B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Physiology, Zoology, or equivalent professional degrees like M.B.B.S., B.D.S., Pharm.D. with at least a second division from an HEC-recognized university. 

H.E.J. (Chemistry/Pharmacology):

• M.Sc. or four-year B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharm.D., or equivalent with at least a second division from an HEC-recognized university.

For Ph.D Programs

• M.Phil or M.Pharm in the relevant fields of study from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

• Molecular Medicine (M.Phil & Ph.D) with specializations in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Pharmacology, Neuro-Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Biopharmaceutics, Computational Drug Discovery, Structural Biology, Stem Cell Research, and Molecular Pathology.

H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry

• Chemistry/Pharmacology (M.Phil & Ph.D) with specializations in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Bio-Organic Chemistry, Textile Chemistry, and Pharmacology.

How to Apply

1. Download Form: Visit the official websites www.uok.edu.pk or http://iccs.edu/page-academics to download the admission prospectus and application form .

2. Pay Fee: Deposit the application processing fee of Rs. 8,000 at the designated bank as mentioned in the prospectus.

3. Submit Application: Complete the application form and submit it along with all required documents and the paid fee receipt to the Academic Coordination Office (Room No. WO-2), ICCBS, University of Karachi, from June 29 to July 8, 2026.

4. Admit Card: Collect your admit card from the Academic Coordination Office between July 23 and 24, 2026 .

5. Appear for Test: Attend the Karachi University Entrance Test on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 09:30 AM with your admit card and original CNIC.
