Education Testing Council (ETC) is conducting the Law Admission Test (LAT) for students who intend to seek admission in undergraduate LLB Degree Programmes in HEC and Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) recognized public or private universities, institutions, or affiliated colleges. The test is being conducted in compliance with directions of the Honorable Supreme Court vide its Order dated March 6, 2018 and Judgement dated August 31, 2018 passed in C.P134/2012, ensuring a standardized and merit-based admission process for legal education across Pakistan. The LAT consists of 100 marks covering Essay, Personal Statement, and multiple-choice questions in English, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu, and Basic Math, with a required passing score of 50 marks. The registration portal will remain open until Sunday, March 22, 2026 (24:00 hours), and the test will be conducted on April 12, 2026 in major cities across Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply: Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent examinations (12 years education), or students who have appeared in the final HSSC or equivalent examinations and are awaiting their results.
Registration: Complete online registration through the ETC portal. Only SUBMITTED applications will be considered; applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained.
Required Documents: Valid CNIC/Passport (or B-Form with original SSC/HSSC certificate with photo for candidates under 18 years) and downloaded Roll Number Slip.
Test Centers: Candidates may select any Test Centre from the list available in the application form.
Prohibitions: Mobile phones, electronic devices (calculating, recording, communication, or imaging devices) are NOT ALLOWED inside the test center.
