Office of the Divisional Superintendent, Pakistan Railways, Peshawar has announced job opportunities for the position of Gateman (BSP-02) on a two-year contract basis, with 28 vacancies available for eligible candidates residing within the territorial jurisdiction of the Peshawar Division. Selected Gatemen will play a crucial role in ensuring railway safety by managing level crossings, monitoring track activities, and preventing unauthorized access to railway premises across the division. Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum Middle (Matriculation may be preferred) from a recognized board

• Age Limit (with relaxation):

  • General candidates: 18–25 years + 5 years general relaxation = 30 years maximum

  • Scheduled Castes/Buddhist/FATA/GB/AJ&K: Additional 3 years relaxation

  • Ex-servicemen: Relaxed up to 15 years or actual years served (whichever is less)

  • Government Servants (2 years service): 10 years additional relaxation

• Domicile: Candidates must belong to:

  • All districts in KPK (except Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, and Kohistan)

  • Attock District: Tehsil Jand and Tehsil Attock

  • Mianwali District: Tehsil Mianwali and Tehsil Essa Khel

• Quota Distribution:

  • Open Merit: 60%

  • Sons of Railway Employees: 20% (Railway Cards mandatory; includes 2% for deceased employees’ sons)

  • Ex-Servicemen: 10% (Certificate required)

  • Orphans: 05% (Father’s Death Certificate from NADRA required)

  • Minorities (Non-Muslims): 05%
